Manways
Sanitary, Heavy-Duty Manways and Inspection Ports
EDT sanitary manways are designed to reduce process air, CIP solution, and powder leakage when used in spray drying systems. The manways feature durable heavy-duty construction. A double-hinged dome cover allows for easy opening and handling that maintains cover alignment. A unique gasket design reduces leakage from the manway and is easily removed for cleaning. In addition, an all stainless steel swing bolt and easy grip hand knob allow quick access.
Designed in accordance with USDA sanitary standards. All stainless steel construction in AISI 316L material. Suggested placement for heavy-duty manways: drying chambers, fluid beds, cyclones, ductwork, baghouses, powder silos, balance tanks, and other stainless steel vessels where inspection and access are required. EDT sanitary manways are standard components on spray drying systems and equipment provided by Evaporator Dryer Technologies, Inc.

Heavy-Duty Manways with Safety Insert
Our newest Heavy-Duty Manway is designed with a Safety Insert to prevent access into the vessel when the cover is opened. This manway allows the cover to be opened for inspection while the safety insert remains closed. The safety insert can be lifted separately for access into the vessel. Included is a 1″ ferrule, nylon plug, and proximity sensor. The sensor can be programmed to send a signal to the PLC to sound an alarm or shut down the equipment should the safety insert be lifted while the equipment is in operation.
All EDT manways feature the same durable heavy-duty design and construction. The safety insert is constructed from 316 stainless steel and is designed in compliance with USDA Guidelines for the Sanitary Design and Fabrication of Dairy Processing Equipment.
Evaporator Dryer Technologies has met the challenge of providing the Dairy Industry with a heavy-duty manway in a necessary sanitary design.
